Pro Tools Tricks 1 - Recording

Here's something I learnt from Paul Pilsneniks, studio engineer at 301 Byron Bay:

When you record in Pro Tools, or any DAW that is capable of using playlists, simply create a new playlist before you even start recording. That way, your first playlist is now Playlist_01, which corresponds to take 1, Playlist_02 corresponds to take 2 and so on and so forth. You then use the master Playlist to edit and comp the final versions of all tracks, without having to edit individual playlists.

That way you don't lose any audio regions visually, and your takes correspond to the musicians' takes!!! How cool is that?
